Các bạn giúp mình dịch bài này với. Hic có rất nhiều từ chuyên ngành rất khó dịch :
    General
The word Bluetooth and the Bluetooth logo are trademarks of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, Inc. (SIG). The Bluetooth name can be used in product names, and the Bluetooth logo can be used on marketing collateral and products only with appropriate licensing. The Bluetooth marks are in the prosecution phase of registration in many countries around the world with completed filings both in Asia and Europe. Bluetooth specification and its test vectors are owned by the Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and are also licensed to member companies.
    History of ?oBlue Tooth?
OK, so why the name Bluetooth? The name actually derives from the nickname for Harald Blåtand. Blåtand?Ts surname literally translates to "Blue Tooth" and so that was what he was called. Now, the name had nothing to do with blue teeth. In fact, Blue Tooth had a dark complexion and dark hair. He was the King of Denmark from 940-981 A.D. Among his notable deeds as King, none surpassed his bravery and prowess on the battlefield. Upon succeeding his father Grom as King, Blue Tooth took up his father?Ts work of unifying Denmark under the cross of Christianity (through the sword) and subsequently conquered Norway and united the two nations. As old Harald Blue Tooth united Denmark and Norway, so Bluetooth of today will unite the worlds of computers and telecom (hopefully with less bloodshed than it took to unite the kingdoms!). In 1994, Swedish technology company Ericsson decided to name a new technology after the local hero.
History of Bluetooth ?" the Technology
Bluetooth has its roots in the Swedish college town of Lund. In 1994, Ericsson started the Bluetooth movement. Ericsson´s primary research facility is closely tied to the town?Ts university. Japp Haartsen, one of the co-inventors to Bluetooth, says that the technology came about almost by accident. The original intention was to make a wireless connection between something like an earphone and a cordless headset and the mobile phone. When Haartsen and his colleagues realized that they could tap into a low radio frequency that required no licensing and was available to anyone in the world that wanted it, they experimented with different computer chips. They eventually settled on small radio chips that make wireless connection between devices containing them.
To encourage development and to get as many companies as possible to use the new technology, Ericsson did something out of the ordinary for 1994: they gave away the technology for free.
As Ericsson developed this technology further, it understood the value of bringing in assistance from other companies in the telecommunications world. In Feb 1998, five companies (Ericsson, Nokia, IBM, Toshiba and Intel) formed a SIG to further advance the work that Ericsson had begun, hoping to develop an industry standard. The group was represented by the necessary business sector members: two market leaders in mobile telephony, two market leaders in laptop computing and a market leader in digital signal processing technology. On May 20, 1998, Bluetooth was publicly announced and on July 26, 1999, specifications for Bluetooth 1.0 were released.
However, the continuing technology of Bluetooth may not have been possible if it wasn''t for the ad***ion four new firms to the SIG: Motorola, Microsoft, Lucent and 3Com. The original five SIG members did not want to involve Microsoft originally as they feared being stuck under the Windows architecture. In the end, these big investors made this new technology possible. From around the world, another thirteen hundred companies have contributed to the Bluetooth technology, making it the fastest growing industry of its time
    How Bluetooth Works
Bluetooth differs from other wireless networks in that it is composed of both link layer and application layer definitions that can unite both data and voice tecnologies. The Bluetooth network is composed of 5 layers which processes the data communications between applications. The highest layer is the Application Program Interface which provides computer accessibility to the Bluetooth network. Logical Link Control and Adaptation Protocol (L2CAP) is the second layer which is responsible for data transmission and liking applications. The Link Layer connects applications as well as establishes the security and authentication between systems. The Baseband layer is in charge of error tracking and data encryption. The bottom layer is the radio transmitter and antenna, which manipulates data from digital to analog and passes this information to the antenna, which sends the data to the appropriate location.
Scalability is the key to the Bluetooth network. Bluetooth devices can communicate with up to 7 other units per piconet, which are short-range ad hoc networks containing wireless links. However, there is extreme flexibility since each unit can be a conglomerate of several piconets, or scatternets, which are formulated as the Bluetooth enabled technologies move in and out of the range of networks. Ad***ionally, radios that operate on the Bluetooth network are in the unlicensed, high frequency 2.4GHz spectrum of the Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Band, which supports global compatibility between mobile phones, PDA?Ts, and accessibility to the Internet. Bluetooths?T limitations are defined by industry standards which allow for improved communication between companies that create the communication specifications.
Therefore, BlueTooth is successful because it is an innovative cross-functional application that provides a true seamless integration of business processes between organizations, as well as personal home office functions. Ad***ionally, Bluetooth?Ts ability to operate on different transmission lengths allows it to be extremely efficient, while staying within mandated energy regulations. Furthermore, Bluetooth Technology provides benefits to many industries who rely on wireless communication including, electronics, mobile PC and PDA developers, and manufacturers of both cars and equipment. An example of Bluetooth is the utilization of a Personal Area network to connect all electronic applications including Computer, PDA, cell phones, and stereos. A person could receive an e-mail on their computer. The Bluetooth network would allow the message to be forwarded to a cell phone or PDA device via a wireless network. Another example would be the transmission of downloaded music from a computer to a home stereo.
    The Future of Bluetooth
In an industry filled with many new technologies, Bluetooth is truly unique. The ability of Bluetooth to handle both data and voice transmission on a single network is one of many relatively differentiated benefits that Bluetooth can offer for both business and personal use. New applications such as mobile hands-free headsets for voice calls, print to fax, and the ability to transmit information from computers to PDA to cell phones is allowing for the creation of services and methods for accessing and using information, leading to increased flexibility for organizations and homes. Ad***ionally, BlueTooth is supported by over 2000 companies, and has a price advantage due to the decline in price of chipsets and radio signals. Moreover, Bluetooth?Ts ability to operate with any other application on the Bluetooth network allows for further scalability.
However, there are numerous challenges faced by Bluetooth as well. Interference with ISM and microwave ovens is an issue due to the unlicensed band. Ad***ionally, wireless networks contain multi-path fading, which can cause information to become jumbled on the neworks. Furthermore, Bluetooth was designed to integrate a small number of applications. The connection of many applications means that networks and their protocols will have to quickly manipulate a lot of data, which could also cause some communication problems. Synchronization of clocks will have to be addressed if seamless integration is to occur between laptops, cellular phones, and PDA?Ts. Finally, as with all technology applications, security is a continuing concern, more so with Bluetooth, because it not only transmits data between personal applications, but also is responsible for the transfer of confidential data between business applications. If Bluetooth can find a method for operating with other products while providing the necessary security between applications, it will continue to flourish in the technology market because of its flexibility, scalability, and efficiency.
