Tìm trên google earth, ở quân cảng phương bắc gấp lớn, có cái tầu sân bay đang đóng dở cho Ấn. Cái này hình như năm nay hay năm sau giao hàng.
Còn trên cảng đại liên của khựa, có chiếc tầu đã tháo hết đồ của Nga, tầu mua lại (trước đây là sòng bạc). tuy nhiên chưa thấy biểu hiện sưa chữa gì.

8 Jan, 2007 (ARABIAN SEA): By early-2009 or so, India hopes to have two fully-operational "carrier battle groups" with their own complements of fighter jets, to project force as well as act as a "stabilising influence" in the entire Indian Ocean and beyond.
One of the carrier battle groups will be centred around the ageing but still powerful 28,000-tonne aircraft carrier INS Viraat, while the other will be led by INS Vikrama***ya, the rechristened 44,570-tonne Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier currently undergoing a re-fit in Russia.
Each of the carrier battle group will also include two to three guided-missile destroyers, two multi-purpose frigates, two attack submarines and a tanker, among other warships.
Though modest when compared to the 12 American carrier battle groups deployed around the globe as an important ingredient of the power projection capability of the US, the Navy is clearly excited about finally realising its long-standing ambition to operate two aircraft carriers at the same time.
"From 2008 onwards, after we get Vikrama***ya (and its complement of 16 MiG-29Ks as part of the Rs 6,900-crore deal signed with Russia in 2004), we hope to always have two aircraft carriers," said Navy chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta.
The Navy is quite confident that it will be able to operate Viraat â?" which was commissioned into the British Royal Navy as HMS Hermes way back in 1959, and is about to complete 20 years in the Indian Navy â?" for another seven years.
"By then, we would have got the 37,500-tonne indigenous aircraft carrier being built at the Cochin shipyard. The project is on track and we should get it by 2011-2012," said Admiral Mehta.
The 252-metre-long carrier will be capable of operating MiG-29Ks, naval version of the indigenous LCA-Tejas, Sea Harriers, advanced light helicopters and anti-submarine and maritime reconnaissance Kamov-31 helicopters.
"The ultimate idea, of course, is to have three carriers, two operational at any given point of time, with the third undergoing a re-fit," he added, indicating the Cochin shipyard would take on the construction of another indigenous carrier soon.
Though there has been some debate about the vulnerability of carrier battle groups to relatively new weapon systems like supersonic cruise missiles, aircraft carriers operating on international waters can project offensive power like nothing else.

Ấn Độ thành lập lực lượng phòng vệ không gian
Theo Hãng tin BBC, Ấn Độ cho biết nước này sẽ thành lập một đội quân phòng vệ vũ trụ nhằm ngăn ngừa các vụ tấn công có thể xảy ra từ không gian. Theo ông S.Tyagi, Tổng tư lệnh không quân Ấn Độ (IAF), đội quân này sẽ bảo vệ chủ quyền lãnh thổ và tài sản của đất nước.
Hãng tin Press Trust of India trích dẫn lời ông Tyagi cho biết kế hoạch này nhằm tận dụng lợi thế về vũ trụ của Ấn Độ. Trước đó, Tổng thống Nga V.Putin đã lên tiếng ủng hộ lời kêu gọi một vũ trụ không có vũ khí của Thủ tướng Ấn Độ M.Singh sau khi Trung Quốc thử tên lửa diệt vệ tinh hôm 11.1. Ông Tyagi tiết lộ rằng IAF sẽ kêu gọi người dân giúp đỡ cho dự án kể trên.
Theo nguồn tin quân sự, IAF sẽ thành lập một lực lượng giống như Cơ quan không gian Bắc Mỹ do Mỹ, Canada lập ra nhằm phát hiện và truy tìm những vật thể nhân tạo nguy hiểm trong vũ trụ.

Russia to Deliver Over 1,000 Cruise Missiles to India

Over 1,000 BrahMos cruise missiles will be delivered to the three services of the Indian armed forces and also to some other countries within the next few years, a top official of Russia?Ts NPO Mashinostroyenia, which has developed the missile in partnership with India?Ts DRDO, said on Monday, Feb. 5.
?oMoney has already been paid to us for several hundred missiles, built in accordance with some previously concluded contracts,? Gerbert Yefremov, Director-General and Chief Designer of the Moscow-based company was quoted as saying by Itar-Tass.
?oThe high standard of our weapons has already won contracts for three frigates, which Russia will build for India. Their cost tops all the potentially possible profits from the sale of missiles. These orders, adding up to many billions, were won thanks to our joint work with India and thanks to BrahMos deliveries. The situation will apparently shape up in the same way with submarines in the near future,? Yefremov noted.
?oOur joint work is yielding splendid results. One thousand or even two thousand missiles may seem to be an overwhelming number, but it is necessary to bear in mind that approximately 12,000 missiles of previous generations will have to be replaced all over the world within the next fifteen years,? Yefremov said in a statement on the results of the company?Ts work in 2006.
Work on the BrahMos venture, with the participation of Russian and Indian plants, began in mid-1999.
The first launch of such a missile from a coastal site was successfully carried out on June 12, 2001.
India successfully tested a new modification of the supersonic BrahMos missile on Sunday, Feb. 4.
