I mean that we should use this forum as a place for discussion, for practice, for improving our English skill. Okie?

To hotrose : our club has a lot of interesting activities which change quite usual . At this time, we are discussing about idioms. One person ( maybe you, I and whoever )will give a riddle of idiom and the one who has right answer will be voted 5 stars. ( You can see the word " VOTE" in the head of every article. ). About offline activity, we have English Speaking CLub (ESP) every two week at The Polytechnic Uni. HCMC English club co-operate to organize ESP with them. One week before the day of this ESP , the topic will be posted for you to read, to collect ideas.

hey Di, I dun think that's a riddle anway.
A riddle should carry some kind of trick, not just merely based on the understanding of idioms
HEre are some
SEA:
What SEA that women cannot keep?
or
A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."
The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

Funny story :
The fireman had rushed into a burning building and rescued a beautiful young lady who was clad only in the top half of her baby-doll nightgown.
He had carried her in his arms down three flights of stairs.
As they arrived safely outside the building, she looked at him with great admiration and said, "Oh, you are wonderful. It must have taken great strength and courage to rescue me the way you did."
"Yes it did," the fireman admitted. "I had to fight off three other firemen who were trying to get to you."

Hi dirosemimi, (is that right?)
I think maybe we are on the right way! But you know, if we just give idioms here and wait for the fastest person to answer the meaning of them, we are losing many people who know them but don't have time to online frequently and answer it quickly. Otherwise, those who can't answer them quickly, then they just read the answer, understand them, and that's all, they don't have chance to practice, to express their opinion!
But, I think this is a good idea to stimulate uor club, I think we can attract more people to join our club, and at that time, maybe we can have a more ambituos, more interesting project to develope our club!
