MILANO - Every day the newspapers publish rumours, mainly unfounded, about alleged transfer deals. Most recently, in todays Corriere dello Sport there is the title: " Milan target Kuffour". The article also mentions Roque Junior, as a player who could be a makeweight in the deal.
The club's Administrative delegator, Adriano Galliani, today chose to clarify that "Milan hasn't shown any type of interest in the Bayern Munich defender" and that "Milan has complete trust in Roque Junior". "Our spending spree is now completely finished".
On the same theme, Milan's vice-president wanted to reassure Kakhaber Kaladze, after his recent doubts ("If I'm not needed, let me go" he is said to have commented): "Kaladze is absolutely not for sale. Only last winter we managed to pip many European clubs in securing his signing, and so we still have great belief in him. Yesterday I phoned him, and we had a long conversation. Amongst other things, we understand the terrible moment he is going through due to his brother's kidnapping, and so emotionally we are very close to him".

"I tried to calm and reassure him - said Galliani -, confirming that Milan intends to build on him. I'm not in a position to say if he will play in the next match, because that is the coach's job, but he must continue to work hard, just as he's always done. Being chosen only as a substitute happens to everyone at some point. It even happened to Van Basten".

Milan are now about to start four matches which are all at home (including the Uefa cup). "The club's philosophy says that we mustn't distinguish between home matches and away matches. For a start there are no longer any easy matches, and every match is worth three points. In today's football, above all, your mental attitude is decisive".

Galliani furthermore expressed his own satisfaction for what Milan has shown so far: "The squad are aware of their ability, and they are working very calmly".
