    James Paul McCartney is born at Walton Hospital, Liverpool,
    England. His parents are living in Anfield. (879)

    1960
    The Silver Beetles perform at the Grosvenor Ballroom, Liscard,
    Wallasey. It is Paul McCartney's 18th birthday. (1419)

    1961
    The Beatles perform at the Top Ten Club, Reeperbahn, Hamburg, West
    Germany. (1193)

    The Beatles had driven back to Huyton, Liverpool, for Paul
    McCartney's 21st birthday celebration, held at the house of Paul's
    Auntie Gin. John Lennon, who had become drunk, grew enraged when
    Bob Wooler hinted that John and Brian Epstein may have had a
    homo***ual affair during their vacation to Spain. Lennon gave
    Wooler a severe beating. Wooler later sued Lennon over the
    highly-publicized incident, but he dropped the suit when John
    apologized and paid him damages of 200 pounds. (1819)

    The Beatles perform two shows at Sydney Stadium, Rushcutter's Bay,
    Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. (2132)

    1965
    The Beatles tape an interview for the Italian radio program "London
    Ultima Oro". The Beatles, about to begin a European tour, are due
    to perform in Italy in just a few days. The interview is broadcast
    on June 23, the day before The Beatles' arrival in Italy. (2376)

    John Lennon appears live on the BBC television show "Tonight", the
    last -ever e***ion of that program. Lennon is interviewed by
    Kenneth Allsop to promote the publication of his second book "A
    Spaniard In the Works". John reads extracts from two pieces: "We
    Must Not Forget the General Erection" and "The Wumberlog (Or The
    Magic Dog)". (2377)

    The Beatles' company Apple Music Ltd. is officially formed. (2706)

    "In His Own Write", a play based upon John Lennon's two books ("In
    His Own Write" and "A Spaniard in the Works"), opens at London's
    Old Vic Theatre. The play was adapted from John's writings by John
    himself, Adrienne Kennedy, and Victor Spinetti (who also directed
    the stage production). John and Yoko attend the opening. (2851)

    US release of Wings single "Live and Let Die/I Lie Around" (Apple).
    The A-side is the theme song to the James Bond movie of the same
    name, and the song appears on the movie soundtrack album released
    July 2 by United Artists. 14 weeks on Billboard chart; highest

    John Lennon's posthumous single "Nobody Told Me" receives a BMI
