    1960
    The Beatles perform at the Kaiserkeller Club, Grosse Freiheit,
    Hamburg, West Germany.

    1961
    The Beatles perform at Litherland Town Hall, Liverpool. Also on
    the bill are Gerry and the Pacemakers. Midway through the evening
    show, The Beatles and The Pacemakers get together on stage for
    several songs, dubbing themselves "The Beatmakers". George
    Harrison plays lead guitar, Paul McCartney rhythm guitar, Pete Best
    and Freddy Marsden share the drumming, Les Maguire plays saxophone,
    Les Chadwick is on bass, John Lennon plays piano, and Gerry Marsden
    sings and plays lead guitar. Sharing the singing is Karl Terry of
    Karl Terry & the Cruisers. Together they perform the songs "Whole
    Lotta Shakin' Goin' On", "What'd I Say?", "Red Sails in the
    Sunset", and "Hit the Road, Jack".

    The Beatles perform at the ****rn Club at lunchtime.

    1963
    The Beatles perform at Pavilion Gardens Ballroom in Buxton.

    1964
    Resuming their tour of Britain, The Beatles perform at the ABC
    Cinema in Edinburgh.

    1967
    The Beatles in the recording studio (Studio One, EMI Studios,
    London). Guitar and vocal overdubs for "Hello Goodbye". Take 16,
    lacking many of the final overdubs, was released on "The Beatles
    Anthology 2" (Disc two, Track 18).

    1968
    "Hey Jude" is the #1 single in the US for the fourth week in a row.

    John and Yoko appear at Marylebone Magistrates Court and are
    released on bail, their arrest on the charges of possession of
    cannabis resin and of obstructing police in the execution of a
    search warrant scheduled to be heard by the court on November 28.

    [R] 1973
    UK release of Ringo Starr single "Photograph/Down and Out" (Apple).
    6 weeks on the charts; highest position #8.

    [O] 1977
    The Liverpool City Council rejects a proposal to build a monument
    to The Beatles in the city.

    US re-release of Beatles album "Abbey Road" on CD (Capitol).

    US re-release of Beatles album "Let It Be" on CD (Capitol).

    UK re-release of the Wings album "Venus and Mars" on CD (EMI).

    [G] 1987
    UK release of 12-inch vinyl single of George Harrison's "Got My
    Mind Set on You (extended version)/Got My Mind Set on You (single
    version)/Lay His Head" (Dark Horse). Also released as picture
    disc.

    UK re-release of Beatles albums on CD: "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be"
    (EMI).

    Release of Paul McCartney classical album "Working Classical" in
    the US (EMD/EMI Classics) and the UK (EMI Classics). Tracks: "A
    Leaf", "Spiral", "Tuesday", "Haymakers", "Midwife", "She's My
    Baby", "The Lovely Linda", "My Love", "Warm and Beautiful", "Junk",
    "Somedays", "Golden Earth Girl", "Calico Skies", and "Maybe I'm
    Amazed". The first three tracks, arranged for full orchestra, are
    performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. The remaining eleven
    tracks, arranged for string quartet, are performed by the Loma Mar
    String Quartet. Released this day on CD; released on cassette on
    October 26.

    [R] 1999
    US release of Ringo Starr album "I Wanna Be Santa Claus"
    (UNI/Island). Tracks: "Come on Christmas, Christmas Come On",
    "Winter Wonderland", "I Wanna Be Santa Claus", "Rudolph the Red
    Nosed Reindeer", "Blue Christmas", "The Christmas Dance",
    "Christmas Time is Here Again", "Christmas Eve", "Dear Santa",
    "White Christmas", and "Pax Um Biscum (Peace Be With You)".
    Released on CD and cassette.
