TOEFL - Section 2 - Giúp sửa lỗi.

- Theo mình, câu 1 sai ở chỗ suddenly. Phải sửa lại là sudden để bổ nghĩa cho danh từ đằng sau nó.
==> The snapper, a large-headed fish with a long dorsal fin, is named to its characteristic way of sudden shutting its mouth.
- Câu 3: sai ở chỗ And. Lẽ ra phải là To protect. còn between là đúng rồi, vi nó nói đến cái cushion gì đấy (hình như là vùng đệm) nằm giữa gân và xương. Với cả trong tiếng anh nó không dùng 2 từ and như thế (tendons and bones and protect ). Nếu để chỉ 3 danh từ ngang hàng nhau như vậy thì giữa các danh từ sẽ dùng dấu phẩy và trước danh từ cuối cùng mới dùng AND
==>Bursae are fluid-filled sacs that form cushions between tendons and bones to protect them while movement.
Câu 4: Out mình chỉ thấy thường hay dùng với kết hợp động từ là chủ yếu, không thấy bổ nghĩa cho danh từ bao giờ. Còn với vai trò là tính từ để bổ nghĩa cho danh từ Layer thì mình nghĩ đúng là phải dung Outer.
Câu 5: Mình không nghĩ là phải thêm "the" vào trước complexity. Nếu thêm "the" vào đấy thì tại sao cái danh từ đằng sau chữ and là "the rigor" vì cái complexity và cai rigor là tương đương nhau mà. Nếu cái này xác định rồi thì cái sau cũng phải xác định rồi chứ nhỉ?
Nhưng mà both không sai, themselves cũng không sai. Nên có lẽ là cái extensive sai. Có lẽ phải là extension training? (cái này mình không chắc lắm).
Câu 6: Approximate là tính từ bổ nghĩa cho cái 600 square miles là đúng rồi. "Increased" có vẻ không sai, "area" cũng không sai, nên có lẽ doubing sai?
Nhân tiện câu này các bạn cho mình hỏi luôn về cách dùng thì hiện tại hoàn thành cho cái cách mà: kết quả vẫn còn ở hiện tại. Liệu trong câu 6 có thể dùng là has increased không vậy ?

2. "That" is possible but not as good as "which" because here we have "of". "Of which" is much better than "of that".
3. Even though they are in plural, tendons and bones represent only TWO items.

6. It has to be "approximately" (adv.) because 846,000 is a numerical adjective. An adjective needs an adverb to modify, doesn''''t it ?
7. "Few" + countable singular noun is NOT possible. Although "FEW" mean "ít" in Vietnamese, it still represents MORE THAN ONE ITEM.
"Multicolor" is not an adjective. "Multicolored" is.

I do agree that it is not the best way to write "tendons AND bones AND protect". But the sentence has another error that is huge, making the "AND" problem rather insignificant : That is the phrase "WHILE movement". "While" can precede a clause or a phrase only, not a noun. It must be "DURING movement".

Bạn có thể dùng "has increased" nếu như không có mốc thời gian. Ở đây đã có năm 1803, phải dùng Simple past
Câu 7: Substance ==> substances

Hic đâu có gì mà phải chứng minh. While là liên từ thì dùng để nối mệnh đề chứ không phải để bổ nghĩa cho danh từ (đấy là nhiệm vụ của tính từ).
