Great! You''re a genius, as far as TOEFL grammar goes! It should be LITTLE instead of SMALL. When used as a non-count, DIFFERENCE takes LITTLE rather than SMALL.
Even when used as a count, DIFFERENCE is habitually used with LITTLE and not SMALL. So either of these works well:
There is LITTLE DIFFERENCE between this and that...
There is A LITTLE DIFFERENCE between this and that...
