It it neccesary for us to talk and speak fluently like a native speaker if you would like to promote your communication skill. Now, I am taking American Accent Training and I would like us to share our experiences in this field.

I''ve been learning English and American ascent as well for more than 10 years but find your method so difficult. My suggestion is to plug the earphone to CNN channel on TV or VOA on the radio and try to repeat what they say as exactly as you can. That way, you could learn American ascent naturally without needing to look at the aukward pronunciation above.
