    Malaysia có một trung tâm công nghệ gọi là CTRM. Trung tâm này có những dự án sản xuất máy bay rất quy mô, chủ yếu là dân sự. CTRM cũng đã sản xuất một loại máy bay không người lái cho Không lực Malaysia. Chiếc được miêu tả sau này đây:

    Té ra thằng Indo có khá nhiều tham vọng trong lĩnh vực công nghiệp quốc phòng. Nó đã hợp tác với Tây Ban Nha để sản xuất máy bay quân sự. Không biết tỷ lệ nó đóng góp bao nhiêu nhưng chỉ riêng việc hợp tác làm máy bay này cũng đáng nể rồi.
    Đây là đoạn miêu tả phần đóng góp của Indo:

    The AirTech CN-235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft has been developed in two versions with different avionics systems: the CN-235MP Persuader developed in Spain by CASA EADS and the CN-235MPA developed in Indonesia by Dirgantara (formerly IPTN). The maritime patrol variant is in service with: Spain, Ireland and Turkey (manufactured by EADS CASA) and Indonesia, Brunei and UAE (manufactured by Dirgantara).
    There are three hardpoints under each wing that can carry Harpoon anti-ship missiles. The Indonesian maritime patrol version can be fitted with two Mark 46 torpedoes or Exocet M-39 air-launch anti-ship missiles.
