Tàu hoà Sing 1 - 1 trong trận giao hữu tại Sing hôm qua. Mai mốt VN mà thua Tàu 3, 4 trái nữa thì chứng tỏ cái cup AFF vừa rồi là cái cup thí cho VN. Chắc là tên trọc phú Hiển bỏ tiền ra mua cái cup này xong rồi để VFF làm ngơ cho hắn làm chủ đến 2 đội ở Vi Lít

Bọn Sing cao to tốt củ nhất ĐNA nhưng nhìn vẫn nhỏ hơn bọn Tàu một tí. VN toàn mấy tên lùn khoái ngoáy đít chắc kì này lại lãnh 6 bàn thua nữa quá

Singapore Head Coach,Radojko "Raddy" Avramovic made it clear before the match, that this match, will be the crunch match for some of the seniors players, he had chosen consistently for the past few years. Raddy put so much of his faith on these bunch of players to a point that he would ignore on form players in the Sleague, just to keep the squad he trust together.
Singapore Lions fans had been frustrated over and over again lately, with the lack of change in the squad after numerous poor performances, especially eye-soring "misses" in the selection. But looks like the Raddy had finally had enough, the last draw came in the match against Liverpool FC, which the Lions played like amatuer, trashed in front of their own people, losing even ever more "appeal" (if they had any) among the Singaporeans.
The match was apparently "routine" for evergreen fans like me, whom watched almost every single Singapore match - the usual problems: off the ball movements (the lack of), pathetic long ball tactic (wats the point of pumping the balls when your players can NEVER get them?), and "commitment issues".
Despite the 1-1 result, China is the better of the 2; creating more chances and brought out a MotM performance from Hassan Sunny.
The only players that impressed, other than Hassan Sunny, is the surprise inclusion: Itimi Dickson. He is easily, the best outfield performer of the night. Tracking back, going into hard challenges, sharp movements and passing, good off the ball movement, strong situation awareness, and most importantly, turn the tide against the Chinese the moment he got the ball.
But many other players arent as impressive. Ridhuan seemed a bit out of place in RB. John Wilkinson lacks that off the ball movements (not the only culprit) and lost his commitment in the 2nd half (ball watching most of the time). Daniel Bennett is out of sort, as his balls goes wayward, got passed by the Chinese strikers countless times, and finally played in the LB to make way for Precious. Its really breathless to mention all the individual problems....
But the problem is not individual, if EVERYONE is making the same mistakes... Its the team as a whole thats the problem. (some fans suggested changing the entire team). The entire team should be drilled to work on their off the ball movements, short passings, 1-2s and timing their runs. China isnt spectacularly good. They are just better because they are doing their basics right. In another words, Singapore arent even getting the TEAM basics right.
And if Raddy cant get enough time with the team to drill them properly, then he should start dropping players that were getting complacent and showing lack of commitments. I am very sure that those on form uncapped Sleague players will be dying to do their best for their country.
Pass the ball, run for space. See that your team mate got the ball, run for space. See that your team mate is unsupported, run closer to him. See that your team mate arent making the pass to you, run for space where he can "see" and pass to you. Cant expect "killer passes" all the time right?
But one thing that is proven in this match, is that the Singapore National Team plays better, with the ball on the ground. The moment the lift the ball into the air in a long ball punt, they will 99% lose possession. Almost everytime, they tried a long ball tactic, they lose the possession. It happens against all those Europeans and Arabs, and now the same problem occur when we play the "shorter" Chinese. I guess, its time Singapore should shag off that Long Ball Stigma and start to play some flowing football.
But before that, lets see some new faces; one that is based on meritocracy, and not "familiarity".
Its a joke that we have depend on our "Uncle Duric" to get the goals for us, when we got so many younger strikers to choose from.
Thats the dismay state of our football.
(p.s: the performance generally is better than the last match against the same opponent, and better than Liverpool. But still deserve a "Fail" result.)

Trẻ Tàu hoà U23 Mã trong trận giao hữu tối qua. Theo thông tin từ cục văn hoá thể thao Tàu thì Tàu ép Mã nhưng Mã cũng có mấy cơ hội ngon ăn nhưng sút không vào. Bọn Mã kì này có phong độ khá tốt. VN chắc phải dè chừng

Tàu nó không bóp đuợc Mã và Sing đơn giản vì bọn kia cũng to khoẻ ngang máy thằng Tàu, mà bọn Tàu ngoài cái thể lực ra chả còn quái gì, nên chỉ bóp được việt nam thôi.
Việt nam trình thì chưa tới mức Barca để có thể cầm bóng, còn chơi thể lực với thằng Tàu thì không nổi nên thua. Lý do hết sức đơn giản.

Bọn đầu bò VFF mà nghĩ được như bác thì hay biết mấy Còn đây là thông tin về Syria và Lebanon. Cả hai nước này sẽ đá một giải giao hữu ở Ấn Độ vào tuần tới.
Syria favourites to win Nehru Cup: Houghton

NEW DELHI: India coach Bob Houghton has picked Syria as the favourites to win the five-nation Nehru Cup beginning on August 19.
The biennial event was left with only five teams after the All India Football Federation scratched Palestine, who had earlier replaced Thailand, for not sending their national team.
The tournament will be played on a round-robin format with the top two teams meeting in the final on August 31. India will begin their title defence against Lebanon on the opening day.
The Englishman said that Syria would be favourites to clinch the crown while defending champions India would be the team to beat.
?oIndia played very few international matches while Syria did the reverse. They played quite a few international games and did well in them to jump up the FIFA rankings,? he told the Indian media.
?oThat does not bother us because we will be satisfied if we prepare well and perform to our potential. I cannot say we will win the tournament but we are comfortable that the other teams would consider us as the team to beat,? he said.
