URGENT! Everyone clicks here, plzzzz! I need ur help!

My exam has just finished a few hours ago and now ... I can spend more time with English club. The fact is that our club is going down seriously and I really wish to make EC a more interesting place Well I need all of you to help me make it.

A lot of people visit our club I know. It's not abnormal to see 9 or 10 people log in at the same time, it even rises to 58 people sometimes, yet they just read, hardly anyone replies. Let me think which nicknames I remember... sis 6sense, shtp, deejayz-x, Kintaro, kat_kat... TDHung, Scorps, tweety_bird also join this English club, but they're not "frequent" members. Most people comes and leaves. Well they register to become an official member but never do they post anything, we can obviously see this. What does "English club member" mean? Do other people admire you when you have that title? Tell me what we miss? Why can't we keep enthusiastic members? They're all gone. Where are longatum? KyPhong? lilly_of_the_valley, m_rudky, Chuot_con, LungTungBeng.... they all get bored with EC. Why? So what's the deal? What can I do to make English club better? Please let me know... simply by answer my questions. Plz drop a line. I need all of you.

Tình hình là English club đang xuống dốc nghiêm trọng và Brit thực sự muốn làm nó trở nên tốt đẹp hơn. Tuy nhiên, 1 mình Brit thì chẳng có thể làm nên trò trống gì và tôi cần sự giúp đỡ của tất cả các bạn.

Vâng, có rất nhiều ghé thăm box English. Chẳng có gì là lạ khi thấy 9, 10 người cùng đang online vào 1 thời gian, thậm chí có lần lên tới 58 người nhưng mọi người chỉ đọc bài mà chả mấy ai reply. Để xem Brit nhớ được nick của những người nào hay gửi bài nhé, chị 6sense, shtp, deejayz-x, Kintaro, chị kat (mấy người này toàn là thành viên ko chính thức, ko đăng ký) TDHung, tweety_bird, Scorps cũng thỉnh thoảng tham gia nhưng ko phải là thành viên thường xuyên. Hầu hết mọi người chỉ ngó qua English club vài lần rồi đi. Biết bao người đăng ký làm thành viên nhưng chả bao giờ thấy post bài, chúng ta có thể thấy rõ tình trạng này. Vậy từ ?oEnglish club member? có nghĩa gì? người khác có khâm phục bạn khi thấy bạn có cái title như vậy không? Đăng ký mà chả bao giờ tham gia thì đăng ký làm gì? Chúng ta thiếu cái gì nhỉ? Tại sao chúng ta lại không giữ được những thành viên giỏi và rất nhiệt tình? Những người như longatum, kyphong, chuot_con, m_rudky, Lungtungbeng, lilly_of_the_valley đâu hết rồi? Họ đều cảm thấy nhàm chán với English club. Tại sao lại thế? Có cách gì để giải quyết đây? Hãy chỉ cho tôi biết phải làm gì đi. Well, I would categorize the people visiting this forum into the following section:
- interested, dont have the time to post
- interested, but afraid to post due to limited English skill
- interested, good English, but too lazy to bother posting
- interested, good English, but have nothing in mind to post
I have to admit that the topics are a bit dull. Most of the good topics have been discussed in other forum, and its always easier to express your ideas in Vietnamese.
What topic I like to discuss? Well, maybe anything. But I belong to the last category, except for the good English part, so I guess that doesnt help much either.

I'm just kidding , never mind about those above answers.... As a matter of fact, I don't really enjoy most of those topics out there. I think creative and argumentative topics will probably make the box more interesting.

...Bullfrog thấy box EC hơi thiếu các hoạt động offline. Các hoạt động offline thường kỳ (chưa cần đến mức quá thường xuyên) sẽ gắn kết các thành viên hơn. Có sự gắn kết, có không khí hoạt động thì các thành viên sẽ nhiệt tình post bài hơn.
Các game hiện tại trên EC không lấy gì làm hấp dẫn đối với Bullfrog, mấy cái cổ điển như giải ô chữ hay matching words nếu được soạn cẩn thận một chút có lẽ vẫn khoái hơn.
Nếu định đưa ra các topic để mọi người bàn luận thì nên là các topic rộng một chút và không quá cụ thể (như kiểu các topic trong TWE chẳng hạn). Mà đừng có đưa ra nhiều topic quá trong một thời gian ngắn, sẽ trở nên loãng. Nên hạn chế ở mức 1 topic một tuần chẳng hạn, và hạn chế số từ được sử dụng trong một bài thảo luận để người khác khỏi ngại đọc mà bỏ qua luôn.

Hic, I have just written a lot and nearly finished my reply, then all things disappeared. So I tried to wrote it in short!
I quite agree that EC nowadays is of no good quality at all. I myself feel sad as a member and embarassed as a mod of EC.
When I was chosen to be a mod of EC, I tried my best to make EC better as britneybritney does today. I visit EC quite often, checking what was written and move or delete some writings if necessary. And the first offline of EC is great in my opinion. I even didn't expect there would be as many as about 30 participants. But things didnt go well then. After the collapse of EC, many members disappeared. Then Surprisingly, most of the one taking part in offline activities harly appeared in our box. In our box, members came and left. We can ignore the one who just filled in the registration topic and nearly forget EC afterward, but for those who were concerned about EC, why did they come and leave after such a short time??? Lilly, apricot and I (three mods in Hanoi at that time) start getting bored feeling tired. I began thinking of the disadvantages as a mod of EC. I also had an intention of quiting EC, however I stayed because of the incentives from my friends here.
In my opinion, EC is short of a group of key members. They are the one who are willing to devote for EC, spend time reading and writing in EC, and are rather good at English. Because,there are often several English questions in EC, but who will check the material and post it here, if we understand that posting in English takes a lot of time than in Vietnamese and the internet fee is not so cheap. The key members would make EC more interesting and atract more people. And only when EC has a good relationship among several members could it develop well. Recently, I have seen some several active people (as a matter of fact, some of them havent joined the membership yet) such as 6sense, Shtp, deejay,...... I do hope that you will contribute more to our box. Remember that EC mod is open to everyone, so tell me if you wish to take this post. Anyone?
Above all, what made me satisfied the most is the friendship with some members such as britneybritney, sweet_girl83, Robotics, Traitimtrongtrang, bluetears84, Mrbean. I love EC, but my ability is limited. Tell me your suggetion to make EC better. We need your help.

The first moment I came here, I expect for knowledge and information. But now I recognise that topics for fun and sharing take me more interest.

Exactly. Except for some members who I keep in contact frequently, it's hard to get closer with other members and their posts.

Of couse, most of them are not helpful, The posts, some interesting, some boring.

Im not an EC member however I come here quite often. What I see is the EC doesnt have many new topics as other boxes do, only chit-chat (a bundle of topics rolled into one), games (boring), old jokes (copy from somewhere else), translating (songs and poetry- which are the most freaking hardest things in the world !!!) and not much to say.
Well, to be honest, just for the box's goodness I think you should have some more topics relating to studies, English games at different levels so many ppl can join in, for example practicing daily English speaking (working, business related, etc... rather than translating poetry, which is in my view, not realistic at all !!). Some simple English may help, hello, thank you, etc...I like that dairy of yours, keep it up.
At the moment, the box's working alrite but it would be better if there're some changes.
