Vao doc room cua Inter qua that la co rat it bai hay, khong hieu sao the nhi, Inter la doi bong ma toi yeu thich nhat, hi vong la moi nguoi tham gia tich cuc hon. Tien thi pót bai ve Giacinto Facchetti (em chua co thoi gian dich sang tieng viet, khi nao co thoi gian em dich lai sau mong cac bac thong cam)
    A profile
Giacinto Facchetti was really a milestone in the Italian football.
He was the first defender who scored many goals without penalties.
His fair play was legendary and he was one of most popular players of 60's and 70's years in Italy also for this reason.
Helenio Herrera, trainer of F.C. Inter Milan in the early 60's, gave a chance to young left full back at the end of 1960-'61 season but Facchetti did'nt leave a good impression.
His long legs and his tall (1,89 m) was unusual for a full back, but Herrera had a good idea : Facchetti must attack his opponent.
Facchetti invented a skill, totally new for italian football: a defender who play to score some goals, many years before Cabrini and Maldini.
Facchetti scored the most famous of his goals in 1965 against Liverpool in the Champions Cup Semi Final.
Liverpool won the first match at Anfield 3-1, and Inter to reach the Final must win 3-0 : Facchetti scored the third and decisive goal of Inter with an incredible right shoot beating Liverpool's goalkeeper Lawrence.
    His career
Facchetti spent his entire career in the F.C. Internazionale of Milan and in seventeen years he won two Champions Cup and two Intercontinental Cup ('64, '65) and plaied two times more the Champions Cup Final ('67 against Celtic and '72 against Ajax), he won four times the "scudetto" ('62-'63, '64-'65, '65-'66 and '70-71).
    1) Championship 1st Division, Serie A, (2) European Cups, (3) like F.A Cup but much less important
In march 1963, only twenty years old, Facchetti played his first match with Italy National Team in Istanbul.
Facchetti played 94 international matches in 15 years and was italian team captain for more ten years.
He played three World Cup Final Phase ('66,'70.'74) and won the European Cup on 1968 (see photo).
Facchetti couldn't play his fourth World Cup because he had some physical troubles few months before Argentina '78 and so, aged thirty five, he decided to stop playing football.
Now Facchetti work in the Management Staff of F.C. Internazionale

    Giuseppe Meazza
GIUSEPPE MEAZZA -he was born on August 10, 1910 in the city of Milan, where he spent most of his soccer career. Meazza dazzled all fans alike with his impressive skills and has proved to be Inter's most prolific goal scorer, finding the net a total of 287 times in a striking 408 matches.
The year of 1929/1930 was the first year of the professional, united Serie A. Previously, multiple first division Italian leagues were in existence. That year, Meazza led all scorers, putting the ball past the opposing keeper a remarkable 31 times in 33 matches. The Italian went on to win it in 1935-36 and 1937

-38, and only Milan's Nordahl (1949-51, 1952-55) has won the title more times (5). In European competions, Meazza scored 27 goals in 29 matches, and in the Coppa Italia he celebrated 16 times in 12 matches.
Meazza's spell at Inter began in 1927, at the young age of 17 years, where he played as a center forward. Just three years later, Meazza received a call-up from the Italian National Team and in his debut, a match against Switzerland, the player scored twice. His international tally is 33 goals in 53 matches, at one point a record until beaten by Luigi Riva. Meazza helped the national team taste World Cup success in 1934, Italy's first, and four years later, wearing the captain's armband, helped the team repeat.
An injury hit Meazza in 1938, and until 1940 he was off the pitch. He afterwards made a move to Inter rivals AC Milan, where he played until 1942. He then had some spells at Juventus, Varese, and Atalanta before coming back to Inter for the 1946-47 season as a player-coach.

    Ivan Zamorano
IVAN ZAMORANO was not a player that made soccer history. Nor was he a player that led his national team to a World Cup trophy. Nor was he a player with a two goal per match scoring record. However, what does merit Ivan Zamorano a place in the Inter-Fans.com legends section is his love for Inter.
Ivan Zamorano was born in Colonia de Maipù, Chile, on January 18, 1967. He played his first three years in Chile before moving to Switzerland where he spent two years with San Gallo. Zamorano then moved to Spain where he first played for Siviglia and later for Real Madrid.

Zamorano joined Inter in 1996 and became a fan favorite for his heart. For his determination. For his love for the Inter shirt. A Chilean journalist had the following to say about Zamorano: His qualities are his strength, his courage, and also his determination. All of these attributes filter down to the whole team. He's a leader, not only on the pitch, but also off it, and of course the younger players, well they learn a great deal from him. He's an idol."
Zamorano's spell at Inter did not earn him many first team spots due to injuries and the presence of players such as Christian Vieri and Ronaldo in the squad. Consequently, the player felt it was time to find another home. He made a move to Mexico to play for America and that is where he currently resides.
Zamorano is a great person off the pitch, as he is involved in much charity work. He has set up the Ivan Zamorano foundation, a program that helps children from poor backgrounds to become involved in various sports by providing free coaching, equipment, and facilities. He is also a UNICEF ambassador for Chile.
Good luck to Zamorano before he hangs up his boots!

    LOTHAR MATTHAEUS
LOTHAR MATTHAEUS was part of the famous German trio that consisted of Andreas Brehme, Jurgen Klinsmann, and himself. He is one of the most successful soccer players ever, having been capped 150 times for Germany and only second to Hossam Hassan of Egypt.
Matthaeus spent four seasons with Inter and his first and third proved to be successful. In the 1988/89 season, Matthaeus helped Inter win the Scudetto, scoring 9 goals in 32 matches. In his third season, Matthaeus tasted Coppa Italia success (1990/91).

Matthaeus improved greatly in his second and third seasons. In the second, he scored 11 goals in 25 matches (.44 goals/match), obviously better than the 9 in 32 (.28 goals/match) the previous season. In the third season, Matthaeus again showed improvement, scoring 16 goals in 31 matches (.52 goals/match). However, in his fourth season, Matthaeus was only able to knock in 4 goals in 27 matches (.15 goals/match).
Lothar Matthaeus was very accomplished in the international scene, taking part in 21 World Cup matches, a record shared with the likes of Maradona and Seeler. The Germans won the World Cup in 1990, the year it was hosted in Italy. Matthaeus played his best World Cup soccer that year and got the chance to play some of the matches in his "home" field, the San Siro.
Matthaeus completed his soccer career playing for the New York/New Jersey Metrostars in the MLS. He is now in the news often being linked to coaching jobs.
