Vô tuyến truyền thông (Wireless Communications)

Chào tất cả mọi người,
Vô tình đọc tin tức về VN, Thuyền thấy tên website này và vô thử . Không ngờ, các bạn technical wá xá !
Xin cho Thuyền tò mò, các bạn là đang ở nước nào vậy ? Đang làm cho hãng nào ?
Thấy bạn BlueTooth có vẻ theo sát specs của 3GPP wá, và dịch ra những từ tiếng Việt nghe hay hay ! Khâm phục đó nha ....
Thuyền thì chuyên về 3G đó, nhưng focus trong core network của UMTS thôi . Và tất nhiên, mỗi hãng implement specs theo kiểu riêng của mình ... Nhiều khi, specs cũng rất mơ hồ lắm đó ! Thuyền làm cho Nortel Networks . Tất nhiên là không dám viết gì nhiều vì không muốn đụng chạm đến vấn đề propriety etc .
Tuy nhiên, specs thì họ viết vậy đó, như mỗi hãng lại offer một soln khác nhau hết thôi . Có 7 hãng lớn (the big 7G) trong ngành wireless, UTMS sol''''n cũa mỗi hãng, có điểm mạnh và có điểm iếu khác nhau . Thuyền không rành mấy của 6 hãng kia, nhưng thỉnh thoảng đám sale vẫn hay gửi tin tức tình báo bật mí một số điểm của những hãng đối thủ .
Tuỳ theo resource điều kiện mà mỗi hãng implement cái UTMS spec hơi khác đi, và những đại diện của hãng trên UMTS forum lại đề xướng và help shape cái standard đi theo hướng của mình ... Thuyền hông biết là giải thích sao, hy vọng là diễn tả được ý của mình (sorrie nha các bạn).
Anyway, rất mừng khi thấy các bạn giỏi và tìm hiểu về ngành này !

Hihi... sao lại có giỏi với dốt ở đây. Các bác ơi mình là người Việt thì cũng nên tôn trọng tiếng Việt một chút. Bác erod nói cũng có cái lý của bác í. Cũng tương tự, chữ không dây thì được dịch cho chữ wireless (tui nghĩ từ lúc ban đầu xuất hiện chữ wireless á). Do đó để cho người Việt nói và người Việt khác cũng hiểu thì ta nên dùng những từ ngữ đã được chấp nhận trước. Một vài thiển ý chia sẽ với mấy bác... Chúc vui.

Các bác cãi nhau làm gì, radio và wireless cũng giống nhau thôi. Dịch ra tiếng Việt "vô tuyến" và "không dây" cũng giống nhau, chỉ có các bác hiểu nó khác nhau thôi. Xin trích dẫn một đoạn trong một cuốn sách của một tác giả phân biệt giữa 2 khái niệm này:

If you think that there''s any difference between a radio receiver and a wireless receiver then how do you explain hearing code signals on your so-called "radio"? No, there''s no difference; the same circuits that the ships and amateurs use for reception of radio telegraph or wireless telegraph signals will be found in a so-called "radio." The famous "Reinartz Circuit" was originally made for the reception of code signals, not soprano broadcasts.
So get it straight now, that the thing you have in the living room that makes noises like the victrola is not "a radio," but a "radio receiver," or "wireless receiver"; the two terms are synonymous. The code signals which sometimes justly drown out a political speech should not be called "wireless," for that is too broad a term. Call it "wireless telegraph" or "radio telegraph." The jazz band music you hear is NOT "radio." It is "radio telephone" or "wireless telephone," music. If this is the radio age let us learn the correct classification of the various branches, instead of making one or two words put on various disguises for the many parts they are supposed to play.

Hôm trước unofficial info thì tớ nghĩ Nortel will get a deal of providing UMTS infrastructure cho Cingular. Hôm nay thì officially (internal info) tớ được biết là Nortel bị out rồi .
Cingular đã chọn Lucent, Ericsson & Siemens. Nokia cũng bị loại .
Không biết đợt này Nortel có cắt cổ thêm nhân viên không . Mấy đồng chí đang làm cho Nortel bảo trọng nhé
