VOLUNTARY STUDENTS IN TOUCH CELEMONY ; 14TH ASIAN GAMES â?" WELCOME TO BUSAN, KOREA.

On 8th Sept 2002 , the Touch ceremony was held in Hanoi. The purpose of this ceremony was to light the touch and its heat will be brought to Busan, Korea as a symbol of fair play spirit of Vietnamese athletes joining in 14th Asian Games.
As one of voluntary students ( perhaps someone here are voluntary students, too ), i would like to tell all of you a little bit about our activities on that day and some information of Korea ( hallo Korea movies fans...hihi...you may want to know more about Korea, a beautiful country! ).
Let i start, okay?

8th Sept, 2002:
+ 5:30a.m : < ring...ring...ring > à alarm clock! Ooo...hic...hic...i should have put it in ..hell! hehe...
+ 6:00a.m : At school gate, hmm...plenty of voluntary students ( V.S ). I was given a uniform : a green shirt. Sticky rice was bought to " combat hunger" !
+ 6:30a.m : < tin...tin...tin > à the bus.
+ 6:45a.m : the destination: The big Theatre in Hanoi. Wow...so crowed! V.S were from 5 universities in Hanoi : Hanoi university of technology ( H.U.T ), Foreign Trade university ( F.T.U ), Pharmacy , Medicine., etc...
+ 8:00a.m ?" 8:05a.m : a sudden rain.
+ 8:30a.m : 3 typical athletes with a touch were from Ho Chi Minh revolution museum.
+ 8:30 ?" 9:00a.m : Statement of VN athletes' leader.
Statement of Korea Embassy ( sounded like " asdfhhfehf...." ...hehe, i dunno Korean ).
The interpreter had a nice voice, and her pronunciation was quite good.
+ 9:15a.m : close ceremony .
+ Impression: full of flowers, " rainbow balloon ", friendly conversations and smiling...After that, we had a nice meal...miam...miam...i like it!!! hihi...

(Translating these information of Korea from Vietnamese into English may not impart entire meanings of Korean history, culture,. etc and other features successfully. So before starting, sorry for my poor English words ).
This country is well worth visiting, especially on this occasion.
In general, here is some info of Korea:
+ History:
Throughout 5000 years history, there were Glories and Tragedies, Victories and Failures. These events have made Korea and Korean. No one knows exactly when people has came Korea Peninsula to settle, but according to Korean legend in 2333 BA, Dangun â?" a demigod had created the forefather of Korean. Thus, each Korean is aware of independence of this country. Briefly, Korean history has developed following these stages:
Ã~ From 57 BA to 668 AD : 3 royal dynasties : Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla were in Korea Peninsula. Silla dominated Goguryeo & Baekje to build a unique country, but Geguryeo was not governed by Silla.
# 918 â?" 1392 : Buddhism became national religion.
# 1392: Goguryeo was down and Joeson royal dynasty started. Confucianism overwhelmed Buddhism. An insolated policy was set, and Korea was known by another nickname : " the country of seclusion "
# 1910: Japanese dominated Korea. After The World War II, Korean gained the independence. But Korea was divided into 2 separated countries: Republic of Korea in Southern Korea and Democratic Republic of Korea in Northern Korea.
Ã~ 1950 : Korean war. Non â?" military region was set: DMZ.
# 1998: Kim Dea â?" Jung has been Korean president. With the new concrete policy he is approaching the peace for 2 separated regions of Korea. The first success was Summit Meeting of South and North of Korea, held on June 2000.
+ Country and climate :
# Korea Peninsula is in North â?" East Asia. The North Pole is Yopojin in Onsong â?" gun, Hamgyoungbuk province. The south Pole is Marado island, Jeju â?" do province. The West Pole is Maando in Youngchon â?" gun, Pyong â?" anbuk â?" do, and the East Pole is Dokdo where is united by small islands in Ulleung â?" gun, Gyeongsangbuk â?" do.
# Square of Korea Peninsula : 222.154 Km2 ( approximate square of British England or Romania ).
# Metropolis : Seul.
# Nature : 70% mountain, 3000 small islands.
# 4 seasons. The Spring and the Fall are beautiful, warm, mild sunlight, blue sky...The summer is hot, humid, and rainy. The winter is cold, dry and snowy.
+ Nation and Language:
It's unique Nation and also only one language in Korea Peninsula. Because of influence of Confucianism and Buddhism, so faith and honesty in family, in friendship, in social relationships, relatives...etc are very important and strong. Korean devotes to family, friends, company, work. They work as much as enjoying lives. Korean language belongs to Ural â?" Altai Language system ( this language system includes Portuguese, Hungarian, Japanese, Mongolian, and Finnish ). Written communication follows Hangeul style ( it has 10 vowels and 14 consonants ).
+ Culture and Arts:
# The art is different from other Asian arts. Because in some aspects, it is natural tendency with mild color, especially in Pottery and Murals arts. The beauty is described in honest, plain ways.
# Music and Gesticulated Arts: are used popularly when getting in the harvests ( husbandry ). Music has 2 main kinds: Jeongak ( palace's music ) for noble class and Sogak ( folksongs, dramas, variety ) for the rest classes.
# Painting: The fresco in the " Three Kingdoms " period ( "Tam Quoc " period â?" the state of Wei, Shu and Wu in ancient China ). Fresco of Goguryeo royal dynasty was active and rhythmic, fresco of Baekje was sophisticated and fresco of Silla was soft. In Goguryeo, due to influence of Buddhism, the topic of fresco was mainly about "the four seasons " ( apricot blossom, orchid, daisy and oleander ). In Japanese domination, Western painting has been developed.
# Pottery : On the top in 12th â?" 13th centuries. Goguryeo has created mysterious enamel with gem color by inlaid technique.
# Literature: Because of influence of religions so respecting senior people, being loyal to the Kings, being thankful to parents, true friendship and keeping virtue are the most important meanings we can feel through Korean Literature. There are 3 main kinds: Hansi, Sijo, and Silhak ( later ). After that literature tended to critic evil social.

Busan, Korea.​

+ Busan is in South ??" East Korea : economic center, has the biggest sea ??" port, is surrounded by mountain and beautiful beach, is crossed by Nakdonggang ??" the beautiful river.
+ Famous places in Busan : Haeundae and Taejongdae beaches; Oryukdo island; Jagalchi fish market; Geumjeogn ??" the highest Wall in Korea ; United Nation Park; International Grave ??" yard for UN soldiers who passed away in Korea war.
+ Asian Games 2002 :
+ Purpose: exchanging experiences and showing friendship among 43 countries which are members of OCA ( Olympic Committee Asia )
+ Dates: 29 Sept ??" 14 October, 2002.
+ Venue: Busan, Ulsan, and other cities close to the beach in South ??" West of Korea .
+ Number of Participants: 18.000 ( including athletes, authorities, journalists ) from 43 countries.
+ Number of competitive sections : 38.
+38 stadiums will be used.
+touch ceremonies were held in 43 countries, then they will bring these touches to Asian Games in order to club together.
+20.000 families will paste their pictures on the walls of stadiums *****pport " family mural " project.
+Mass media: broadcast ( IBM, MPC, MMC...) with modern technological communication.
+Number of voluntary Koreans : 22000.
BTW: The opening ceremony and closing ceremony will be impressive. You should see them on TV ( VTV3, VTV1, VTV4 will have alive show ).

Bạn có thể cho tôi hỏi Bulsan và Bulsan nó có khác gi nhau không tôi không biết nữa vì có chỗ viết là Pulsan và có chỗ thì là Bulsan .

Còn tuỳ thuộc vào từng nơi và cách phát âm của từng vùng, từng ngôn ngữ. Có nơi gọi là Busan, có nơi lại là Bulsan. Nhưng Pulsan thì tớ..chưa nghe bao giờ.

BUSAN=PUSAL. Theo tôi được biết, người Hàn không phân biêt được B và P.
Tương tự như vây với T và D.
Chính vì vây, Cả 2 từ PUSAL và BUSAN, họ đều phát âm giống nhau.
