I have seen many articles so far , many of them are great .
however , studying English is not just learning from each other by sharing the experiences in words . The very first neccessity is something practical and realistic which has not been gained by most of you here !!!
You may read a very good book , then transfer the good things into this forum .What simple a job !! Natives learn their mother tounge just by habit , since they get chances to pracice it evryday , why don''t we consider it as a method !!! ???
some one in this forum have said that pronoucing E whitout immitating would make ur voice great , I wonder how you can do it without immitating any others'' native voice !!!
I am not genuinely a member , just passing and leave here a little pice of ideas , and I hope that it will , anyway ,help you in the way indulging ur E .
    Remember , E requires time , patience , practice and immitation !!!!
    lovely coolbiz sincerely !!!!

I absolutely agree with your ideas, coolbiz.
To study English well, especially to be able to memorize new words, it''s not so useful if you just write them down and repeat them even for so many times. The best way is, I think, reading English books. But do not try to find the meanings of all the new words you see the first time in the book, just keep reading until you find those words reapeated several times in that book, then, you may use the dictionary to look for their meanings.
For a perfect English pronunciation, you should look at the way they teach how to pronounce each word in dictionary (of course you need to know how to read that way) and try to practice everyday. And... as mentioned above by coolbiz, don''t mind imitating way of pronunciation of people, of course, who are experts in this field
Have a great time with English!!!

of course it''s pretty easy to learn how words are pronounced using the dicitonary as a guide to pronunciation, but the question is how to sound like a native. If you should feel complacent having been able to speak or sound like, say, a newsreader who leads VTV News on VTV1 or VTV3, pronounciation, intonation and accent should not be that hard. But alas, every one who''s been studying English for quite some time, let''s say, 3 or so years, will absolutely never take the VTV3 newsreader as a model for learning pronunciation and intonation, even though she undeniably has a perfect command of English in all aspects of the language (just because I''ve kind of heard that the competition for the job at VTV News in English is, as usual, exceptionally strong, and of several hundreds that apply each year, just a few are through to selection). That said, I recall sb saying somewhere on this forum that she found it much harder to catch up with the newsreader after having spent some time living abroad, or taking lessons hands-on from a native. How come?
English, as I find it, is so hard to learn, especially the intonation and accent. For years now, I''ve tried quite hard myself to practice American accent, but deep down it hasn''t paid off in any way. For a single word, it''s no problem but whenever I attempt to speak a sentence, I just can''t sound like, or particially like a native. Perhaps I''m too old to learn a particular accent, aren''t I????
Does anybody have experience shifting to American accent and succeeding in the effot????
