Writing good resume is one of the most important thing you have to do if you want to have a good job. You will be needed to show about yourself and your abilities / experience for the positioning.
I have read some kind of resumes in Internet. There are 3 kind of resume :
1/ Tra***ional resume : showing the information , then education, experience, abilities, skills and reference.. Maybe it will be more than 2 pages.
2/ Modern resume : very short, only one page with the high-light of what is differentation between you and others.
3/ Unique resume : You can write anything you like in this resume, maybe you can attach some pictures or a power-point presentation, it is ok.. If you want to be marketer, you can build the resume like a marketing plan :-) and if you want to show your creativity, you can draw to it...

What is the kind of resume do you like most?

I''m going to choose the first and 2nd one. I''m not agree with the 3rd one. Because I you write too much information on the CV, you gonna make the interviewer boring as they have to read 10 resumes/ preparing for each interview. A company which ''s hiring for 10 positions, that means they''re having more than hundreds applications.
My CV will be short, enough information to present my self: goals next few years, education, ability...
Anything else I wanna say, I gonna put them on cover letter...

It''s not too difficult to make a CV and application form I think. In my University, we had to learn how to write it in the 2nd year at some extra activities.
In fact, no employment agency has enough patience to read all of your profile, they just take a glance. If your CV ''s got nothing special, it would be put in one side...
Whatever the CV you have, just make it in your style. I hate the copy and paste. That''s it.

I had 5 minutes reading one interesting book " Getting job without resume" when I came to library. In my opinion, resume is very important, but a lot of people are untruth when writing it, so that the interviewer always doubt about your resume. If the resume shows too much, it will be negative. The interviewers are the job-killers, they focus on what is your weekness, so that they often seek it and attack to it.

Whatever your choice is, whatever your CV looks like, the main purpose is to make the recruiters see your advantage and feel that you will be their right selection.
From my exp, if no thing special could be indicated on the tra***ional CV, we can''t expect that the 2nd and the 3rd one will lift us up

I''ve only known some common types of resume such as Chronological form or Functional form. But if resumes have been categorized in*****ch three types recently, I''d like to choose the combination between the modern type and the unique type
Now as if I were an employer looking for the job candidate, an ideal resume is one page in length only. There has to be good scannability to a resume. Not in a technological sense, but in such a way that I could look over the resume in 30 seconds, and quickly find the information that I am looking for. What qualifications does this candidate have that would be of value to my organization? What has the candidate accomplished that stands out from the others vying this position? Why is this candidate special? Modern type of resume shows me that the candidate must be judicious in the information and details he or she includes. It has a clear keywords or phrases that draw my attention and indicate a fit for the position.
If the candidate has a website that can help him make his case as a strong candiate, include the URL on his resume. Perhaps URL includes examples of graphic design work or articles that he has had published. The unique type of resume could be inserted into the modern type by this way. It is a chance to showcase the candidate''s creativity.
However, be careful to direct employers to the site only if it includes professional images and information. Otherwise, just use the modern type of resume. It''s good enough for your potential employers to quickly learn key facts about you.
Make it simple and easy to digest!

Tyles + forms + length preference is completely specific to the career we''re aiming at !
The key thing is to have readers immediately impressed with the appearance, the way your resume communicates the value you can bring to the vacancy . I somehow disagree with those common advices on web about ... "one page resume to be the most ideal resume . Sorry for being opnionated about this.
Indeed, it is not the length of the resume or how long one can scan the resume, it''s really the feeling that i feel the language applicants used or the "buzz words" do match . If one used the wrong language or different "buzz words" for a vacancy, making my brain have to decipher from his resume, no matter how short (one page) or how long, i''m pretty sure that i would not bother to call him up for an interview to waste more of my time . On the other hand, even if his resume 5 pages long, but it appeared that he is comming from the background as the vacancy needs, i will call him up for sure just to ask more questions specific to the project .
Rather than focusing on a specific style or combination of styles for a resume, perhaps, one might also think of different approach to writing resume as followings:
    1) Should i invest my time and have one one single rigid resume and covering letter, then photocopy them and send out to all employers and all jobs ?
    2) Should i focus to customize my resume and covering letter to a few jobs which i absolutely want and believe that i can win ?
Approach 1) is ussually for new-grads while approach 2) should be employed by experienced folks having been around for more than 10 or 15 years .
Or, one used approach 1) just to get a job . Remember, for most of large corporations, once you sent to them a resume, they logged in their database and sometimes they might not refresh but keep using your old resume for a few months of critical head hunting during hiring season . Once you send out, you just ... can''t change it !
