Why SEC? Why do you keep checking SEC?

If you''re reading this topic, that means you check SEC once in a while or probably everyday like many SEC members and non members do. If there''s something or someone interesting to you, you might stay a little longer. If not, you just close the window or quickly proceed to other webpages of interest. Sometimes you have a question you think some people somewhere can help answer. Or you just feel like checking out what''s new, what''s going on around here so you keep up with current trend and stuff. Some people just check SEC again and again, simply because they feel comfortable checking, posting and making friends. A lot checked once or twice and never got back. A whole lot stay guests without becoming members. The question is why? Why do you do what you often do on SEC? Take a minute to vote for the reason that is most appropriate to you and then later check back to find out why other people do what they often do when they check Saigon English Club.

'' I want to make some new friends in SG and improve my English'' was the main reasons I joined this box. I have visited this box often because of interesting members here and my enjoyment in staying.

For me, the reason I come here is just one: By accident !!!
But the reasons I still stay here are so so many... In fact, the most important thing I love here is SEC''s mems...

@Tao_lao: Hello, there! Thanks for your hospitality. Yeah, you CAN say I''''m a new member though I had been checking SEC out a while back before deciding to just focus on EC 3 years ago. Most of the mods of SEC I know at that time had long gone by the time I came back to Saigon a couple months ago. Now I''''m like a newcomer here. But it''''s fun anyway to be new. It''''s great!

One tip for you guys, voters: Since there''''re really many reasons for you to choose, vote ONLY for one reason which matters MOST to you. In other words, if it wasn''''t for that reason, you wouldn''''t have even been reading this tip in the first place, let alone checking out SEC everyday/week/month, ect.

These days I want to make a run of the online life. As your topic is created, suddenly I have a feeling that this online life got no more meaning to me. It seems like I have wasted my time just to check SEC (and some other sub-forums) a bit more often before getting busy with the dead life I''m gonna face with.

I''m sorry to hear you''re quite depressed these days. And I''m glad you wanna take a break from the so called "online life". It''s kinda lost its original meaning somehow, has it!
Well, that sounds familiar to many of us once in a while in our lives. You know, the sudden feeling you have when all of a sudden you just stop and ask your self: "Hey, what are you doing? Why the hell are you doing what you''re doing?" That is when you just realized you need to have a clear sense of meaning, a sense of what matters most to you emotionally, physically, socially, mentally, financially and spiritually. All you need to do is find a quiet place to do some thinking. If you''re depressed or have been depressed for a while, things might get worse before they get better. It''s natual. Just stay positive, and eventually everything''s gonna be alright. Stay cool. Cheers, longarm.

I almost forgot learning English because I''m rather lazy. But it''s so strange. When I became a member of SEC, I had the power (the force) to learn English and that''s really what I need.
